Last updated 30 September 2026
- Your ad is public, but your phone number and email are only shown to a member who spends a token to unlock them. You are told when that happens.
- ID documents are seen only by our team, kept outside the public website, and deleted as soon as we have checked them.
- We don’t sell your information to advertisers or data brokers.
- You can see, correct or delete your information at any time, including deleting your whole account from your Dashboard.
1. Who we are
Nannyz Singapore (https://nannyz.sg/) is run by Find a Nanny trading as Nannyz (UEN 53202363C), a business registered in Singapore (“Nannyz”, “we”, “us”). We help families and sitters in Singapore find each other. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). You can contact our Data Protection Officer at support.sg@nannyz.com.
2. The information we collect
Everyone with an account
- Name, email address, phone number and password (stored encrypted).
- Your residential address. It is never shown publicly. We use it, through Google’s mapping service, to show your general area and an approximate (not exact) marker on the map.
- Settings such as job alerts and email preferences.
Families
- What you put in your family ad: the care you need, days and hours, a description of your household, your children’s ages and needs, languages spoken, pets, and a photo if you add one.
- Your date of birth, if you give it. It is not shown publicly.
Please don’t include your children’s names, photos of your children, or your street address in your ad.
Sitters
- What you put in your sitter ad: experience, qualifications, availability, rates, languages, age, a photo, and a description of yourself.
- References you ask past families to write, including the name and email address of each referee you invite (we use these only to send the invitation and reminders).
- Links to your profiles on other care websites, if you add them.
Identity verification (optional)
- A photo of your NRIC (front only, with the number covered), passport or driver’s licence, if you choose to verify your identity. See section 7 for how we protect and delete these.
Activity on Nannyz
- Contact unlocks: who unlocked whose details, and when.
- Reviews you write or receive, reports you make about ads, and saved ads.
- When you were last active (used for “Active this week” labels and for ordering search results).
- Token purchases: the pack, amount, date and a payment reference. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, which our website software and hosting provider record for security and to keep the site working.
3. How we collect it
Almost everything comes from you, through the forms on our website. We also receive information from other people. A referee writes a reference about a sitter. Members write reviews of each other. Someone reports an ad. Stripe tells us whether a payment succeeded.
4. What other people can see
| Information | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Your ad (first name, general area, photo, description, badges, reviews, references, “last active” label, how many members have unlocked it) | Anyone visiting the website, including people who aren’t logged in |
| Your phone number and email address | Only a member who spends a token to unlock your ad. We email you when that happens. |
| Your ad on the Nannyz Facebook page, if you ticked “Facebook sharing” when you signed up (first name, general area, photo, the start of your description and a link) | Anyone on Facebook. It never includes your phone number, email or address. Ask us and we’ll remove the post. |
| Your street address, ID documents, date of birth, reports you make | Only our team, never other members |
| Reviews you write | Published on the other person’s ad, with your first name, once both of you have reviewed or the review window closes |
When you unlock someone’s contact details, use them only to talk about childcare. Don’t pass them on. See our Terms of Use.
5. How we use your information
- To publish and show your ad, and let members search and filter ads.
- To give contact details to members who unlock them, and to tell you when that happens.
- To process token purchases and email receipts.
- To send emails you’ve asked for (job alerts, review requests, reference invitations) and account emails (password resets, unlock notices, receipts).
- To check identity documents and show an “ID Verified” badge.
- To keep Nannyz safe: moderating ads and reviews, investigating reports, and preventing fraud, spam and misuse.
- To answer your questions and complaints, and to meet our legal obligations (for example, keeping tax records).
We don’t use your information for advertising by other companies, and we don’t sell it to data brokers. We don’t send marketing emails without your consent. Every alert email has a link to turn it off.
6. Automated checks
Some checks are done by computer programs, including AI services:
- Ad and review text is checked automatically for things like contact details, offensive language or unsafe content. Text that fails the check is held for a person on our team to review, or you are asked to change it.
- “Write it for me”: if you use this button, the answers you gave in the form are sent to an AI service to draft your ad text. You can edit or replace the draft.
- Search order: ads are listed with the most recently active members first.
These checks use the text you submit and basic account details. Decisions to remove an ad, reject an ID or close an account are made by a person, not a program.
7. How we protect and keep your information
- Our website, including ID documents, is stored on servers in Singapore operated by our hosting provider (SiteGround), protected by passwords, encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access limited to our team.
- ID documents are stored in a private area outside the public website. Only our team and you can view them. They are deleted automatically as soon as we approve or reject them. We keep only a record that your ID was checked, by whom and when.
- If you delete your account, we delete your ads, photos, ID documents and profile. Reviews you wrote stay on the other person’s ad, but without your name. Contact unlocks you made are kept without your name, because they are part of another member’s history.
- We keep records of token purchases for 5 years after the purchase, as Singapore tax law requires, even if you delete your account.
- If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, we will tell you and the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) as the PDPA requires.
8. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run Nannyz, only as needed for them to do that job:
| Provider | What they do | Where |
|---|---|---|
| SiteGround | Website hosting and backups | Singapore |
| Stripe | Card payments for tokens | Singapore and the United States |
| Brevo (via WP Mail SMTP) | Sending our emails | European Union |
| Anthropic | AI checks of reviews and other text | United States |
| OpenAI | AI checks of ad text and “Write it for me” | United States |
| Google (Maps) | Maps, location search, and turning addresses into approximate map locations | United States |
| Gravatar (Automattic) | Profile pictures linked to an email address, where used | United States |
| Google (Analytics) | Counting visits and seeing which pages are used, so we can improve the site | United States |
| Tawk.to | Live chat with our support team | See Tawk.to’s privacy policy |
Because of this, your information may be stored or processed outside Singapore, in the countries listed above. We choose providers that protect personal information to a high standard, and we don’t send ID documents to any of them except our hosting provider.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to a court or law enforcement agency, or to protect someone’s safety. If a child’s safety is at risk we may contact the police or child protection authorities.
9. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your choices and protect forms against misuse. Google Maps and Stripe set their own cookies when their features load. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used (it doesn’t tell us who you are), and our live chat (Tawk.to) sets cookies when it loads. We don’t use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but you won’t be able to log in.
10. Your choices and rights
- See and correct your information: most of it is in your ad and Dashboard, where you can edit it. For anything else, email us.
- Delete your account: go to your Dashboard > Account Settings > Delete my account. We’ll email you a link to confirm.
- Get a copy of the information we hold about you: email us and we’ll send it within 30 days.
- Stay anonymous? You can browse Nannyz without an account, but you need to give your real name and contact details to post an ad or unlock contact details.
We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We don’t charge for requests.
11. Children
Nannyz accounts are for adults (18 and over). The only information about children we hold is what a parent chooses to put in a family ad, such as ages and care needs.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. We will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) at pdpc.gov.sg.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Nannyz changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we’ll let members know by email or on the website.
